Description
The 35″ x 54″ fan-shaped aluminum backboard is molded from premium #319 aluminum alloy, providing exceptional impact resistance and long-term durability to help prevent cracking under repeated use. The backboard measures 1-1/4″ thick with a 3/16″ thick playing surface for reliable performance. Reinforcing ribs and flanges are 3/4″ deep and range from 3/16″ to 1/4″ thick, adding structural strength without unnecessary weight.
The reinforced mounting area is 7/16″ thick and is pre-drilled to accommodate both 5″ x 5″ and 4-7/32″ x 5-1/8″ goal mounting patterns for versatile installation. All edges, burrs, and sharp surfaces are carefully ground and sanded smooth to ensure a clean, safe finish.
Each backboard is finished with a durable white powder-coated polyester paint that is oven-baked for superior weather resistance and long-lasting appearance. Optional silk-screened target squares and border graphics are available. Molded-in mounting bosses are drilled and tapped for 3/8″-16 machine bolts, allowing for the attachment of optional support braces when needed.
